Alisa Fendley- Assistant Choreographer, Performer, and Marketing AssociateIn addition to her work with Grounded Aerial, Alisa is the Artistic Director of Fendley's Fingerprints, a multimedia dance company founded in 2010 whose work has been presented at The Raw Festival DanceNOW [NYC], The Rover SoHo, Triskelion Arts Comedy in Dance Festival, and The Tank, among others. Alisa graduated from NYU with degrees in Dance and English. When she's not flying with Grounded, Alisa performs with Racoco Productions and Rocha Dance Theatre and works for Yoo and Dancers. Angela BuccinniAngela has trained in a broad spectrum of movement disciplines and performed works of Jose Limon, Martha Graham, and Murray Lewis. She also created her own works, seeing them performed for artists such as Yo-Yo Ma. After graduating with a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, Angela pursued a career in acrobatics and circus arts in NYC . In New York City Angela began to pursue a career in acrobatics and circus arts. She kept one toe on the ground dancing with Tribe of Human, The Chase Brock Experience, and training with the Brooklyn-based, 'PopAction' dance company STREB .Most recently Angela was a featured aerialist in Caligula Maximus off Broadway and as Luna with Grounded Aerial . After moving to New York that same year Angela encountered Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) and immediately recognized an opportunity to help dancers and others reach their physical potential. As a certified MAT Specialist, Angela works with a wide range of clientele at exercise-Intelligence in Soho. Angela is Currently on a World Tour and working on rebuilding Studio 43 in Brooklyn NY, NYCs only outdoor dance space.

Christian Serrano-Godén
Christian Serrano-Godén, known by most of his friends as Pepe, started dancing ballet at the age of 18 at Ballet Concierto of Puerto Rico where he was taught by Carlota Carrera and Roberto Lopez. He later moved to Miami Fl. to train under Maestro Vladimir Isaaev at Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. He attended 2 years in the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase where he studied for his BFA in dance. He has taken many summer programs and workshops in Puerto Rico, Pennsylvani and Florida, among them were Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico. He has performed various modern, contemporary, and ballet pieces including Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Petrouschka, Dr. Ouch and La Bayadere. He currently dances with Christopher Caines Dance Company and Grounded Aerial. He also teaches Ballroom and specializes in Latin movement and partnering work.

Madeline Hoak
Madeline is a dancer, aerialist, and teaching artist. She holds BAs in Dance and Theater from Muhlenberg College. She has performed with: Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, Kinesis Project, Above and Beyond Dance, Helium Aerial Dance, and Cirque-tacular.

Marissa Maislen- Performer, Director of Communications
Marissa Maislen is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she received her BFA in Dance. Since graduation, Maislen has worked with many NYC choreographers/directors to produce work for the stage and for film. These include Vanessa Walters, Karole Armitage, Noritoshi Hirakawa, Seize sur Vingt, Ben Dolphin, Yoo & Dancers, Aveia Dance, Bill Hayward and Fly-By-Night Dance Theatre. Maislen is currently a member of Jody Sperling's Time Lapse Dance, Grounded Aerial Dance Theatre, as well as a performer for Nejla Yatkin. Alongside dancing, Maislen continues to create and produce her own work in the city.

Shay Bares
Shay Bares received his early training at The School of Ballet Tyler under the direction of Kym Lanier. In his youth he was a member of Ballet Tyler, which he later returned to for two seasons as Artistic Director. He has lived in NYC since 2008 when he moved from Texas to join the Fellowship program at the Alvin Ailey school where he trained with teachers such as Milton Myers, Robin Dunn, Lynn Gluaber Mandell, Fred Benjamin and others. Shay has danced with various Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, & Aerial companies in his career including Kim Robards Dance -Denver Co, The Perridance Ensemble-NYC, The Steven Petronio Company, Basaaran Dance Works, NY2 Dance and Grounded Aerial. Shay has taught classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop at workshops and conventions across America and has won overall awards at regional and national competitions.

Anna Pillot Fedak
Anna holds a B.A. in dance performance and choreography from Hope College. During her time at Hope, she was a member of the resident modern dance company dANCEpROjECt, as well as Grosso Modo Dance Company, based in Queretaro, Mexico. Since moving to New York City Anna has performed with Richard Rivera/Physual, and has shown choreography at Green Space Studio and Bridge for Dance. Anna actively studies the aerial arts including flying trapeze, silks and lyra.

Benjamin E. Oyzon
Benny is an aerial acrobat, dancer, martial artist, fire-spinner, surfer, and Pilates instructor. He has had the pleasure of working with the Kinesis Project, The Metropolitan Opera, Gabrielle Roth, Second Species, One Mile, Forces of Nature, Dance Anonymous, Groove Hoops, Red Dive, Exploding Moment, and the Burning Man Fire Conclave.

Elie Venezky
Elie has toured throughout the United States and the world performing with acts such as the Tigerlillies Circus and Circus Nexus in Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, Illinois and Kentucky. He has performed with Pilobolus on the Oprah Winfrey show and recently appeared on CNN with Aerial Acrobat Entertainment. Elie studied at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts and under world reknown aerialists and dancers Tanya Gagne, Lisa Giobbi, and Tim Harling. He currently works with Harvest Moon on doubles trapeze and with Guinevere DiPiazza on doubles lyra.

BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Co-founder of AiRealistic. Heather Hammond
Heather is founder and international aerialist with Helium Aerial Dance, graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, performed with Cirque LeMasque, ImagineAerial, Cirque-tacular Entertainment, Canadian Opera Company, High Strung Aerial Dance, Noemie Lafrance, Zero Gravity, Cirque Sublime, Kaeja d'Dance, Amy Greenfield and more.

Holly ShunkeyHolly studied dance at North Carolina School of the Arts. She has toured around the globe with Pilobolus Dance Theater and across the US with the Networks National Tour of Contact. Her Broadway workshops include Tarzan and Angels. She was the original dance captain for Wicked at Universal Studios Japan and most recently has joined the off-broadway cast of Fuerzabruta. Holly won a Carbonell Award in 2010 for Best Actress in a Musical for Vices: A Love Story at the Caldwell Theatre. She is also honored to have worked with such amazing choreographers such as Ac Ciulla, and Maria Torres.

Julia Wilkins
Julia performed with Lisa Giobbi in work developed for track harness and performed aerial feats in the film Across the Universe. She danced for Donald Byrd as a principal dancer in his company for 3 years, and has worked extensively with dance theater director Martha Clarke. Julia also choreographs her own work, and is a black belt in Kung Fu.

Jun Lee
Jun has received dance training throughout her childhood in Singapore, England and Thailand. Professional companies presently include Kinesis Project, Eyes Of A Blue Dog, Murray Spalding/Mandalas, and of course Grounded Aerial. She has appeared on the stages of Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out, Judson Church, Dance New Amsterdam and Webster Hall, as well as numerous parades, parks and festivals. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory with her BFA.

Nabowire "Nabz"Nabowire is a dance artist originally from Brooklyn, NY. She has trained extensively, and steadily grown with a passion and dedication to the life of dance. She received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Howard University. Nabowire is grateful for this opportunity to work with Grounded Aerial and loves growing with new experiences.
