Improvisation that leads to choreography
Workshop for both dancers and actors. Initially we warm up by exploring our environment, our thoughts of the moment, and our interactions with each other. This workshop is about expanding the definition of dance. Via collaboration and communication, students accomplish growth as choreographers, movers, and the necessary capability to interact in a group scenario, we investigate what is interesting to watch, and how to express and emote feelings in an effective manner. Through initial improvisation, we create set choreographic/dramatic pieces that eventually lead to a semi- formal showcase to the rest of the class or an invited audience.
